UNDYING ATTRACTION

It all started with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and David Boreanaz as the leading male vampire protagonist Angelus. "The Vampire Diaries" and "True Blood" soon followed, their tall, dark, handsome and hunky cast of Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard and Joe Manganiello, mesmerizing television fans everywhere around the globe. Then "Blade: Trinity", "Twilight" and "Warm Bodies" exploded onto the silver screens and altered cinematic history for good, as vampires, werewolves and even zombies became the new sex symbols of our modern generation.

Gone are the days of powder white-skinned, bloodshot-eyed, anaemic-looking bloodsucking villains. Replacing them are sexy, brooding, muscle-toned, romantic leads in the form of Ryan Reynolds, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Nicholas Hoult, eliciting giddy swoons and worldwide idol frenzy. It's no wonder that 25 year old Manhunt Singapore finalist Justin Toh too fancies emulating reel vampires or zombies, both in the name of fun, and also to set himself apart from the rest of the competition.

Commanding an impressive height of 1.8m, a smoking hot physique of 75kg, smouldering sensuality and his eye-catching scarlet red contact lenses, this personal trainer confided that it has always been a secret fantasy of his to take on the cinematic role of a heroic vampire vigilante on a mission to save mankind from evil apocalyptic doom and disaster. Interestingly enough, Justin also shared that it would be another dream come true for him, if he were ever to score a guest appearance as a zombie on his favourite TV series "The Walking Dead".

According to him, it would definitely be quite the bizarre experience delving into the internal psyche of the living dead, so as to effectively portray one onscreen. When teased on his thoughts of "ingesting blood" for the roles, he joked that his characters would for the sake of humanity and sanity, maintain a "blood-free diet" to the best of their abilities.

Evidently a fun-loving and humorous guy, with his drop-dead gorgeous good looks and dare-to-be-different personal mantra, Justin could very well be the dark horse to look out for in this year's competition.
