BRING IT ON

Contrary to its reputation of being a female sport, cheerleading started in the 1920s as an all-male sport. Featuring tumbling, stunting and gravity defying acrobatics, male-cheerleading is a legitimate and fierce sport, and certainly no wimpy past time.

Male-cheerleaders need to be strong, flexible, resilient, dedicated and strong team players. And though they may be 14 years apart, 20 year old Manhunt Singapore finalist Harry Tanujaya and 34 year old Senior Manhunt finalist John-Nathan Chan, who hail from Temasek Polytechnic's "Blazers" and Ngee Ann Polytehnic's "Magnum Force" cheerleading teams respectively, it's evident that such are the great qualities embodied by both men.

With his towering height of 1.84m and muscled physique of 84kg, Harry has been winning over the crowds with his cheeky grin and boyish charms; while John-Nathan, who stands tall at 1.72m and weighs in at 66kg, is also proving to be a force to be reckoned with, impressing and astonishing many with his youthful good looks, well-toned body and winsome smile.

Having conquered backflips, somersaults amongst other gravity-defying stunts, without a doubt both of them definitely have the bravery, confidence and resilience that will get them one step closer to fulfilling their dreams of getting their big break into the entertainment world!
