BROTHERHOOD OF MEN

With the coining of the very first portmanteau moniker "Bennifer", inspired by fusing together the names of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who were the hottest couple back then, it soon gave rise to the trend of christening real and reel romances or even bromances with similar titles. From "Brangelina", "TomKat", Glee's "Finchel", Gossip Girl's "Chair", Make Me A Supermodel's "Bronnie" to American Idol’s “Kradam”, it was only a matter of time before the very first Manhunt Singapore buddy nickname was created.

With budding friendships amongst the Manhunt Singapore brotherhood of this year, we've already witnessed the birth of brudders "Rake" (Rajesh Ramalingam + Jake Cheng), "Khenjamin" (Khye Norello + Benjamin Khoh) and “Frandrew” (Francis Nathan + Andrew Chua). And now, we're proud to present our latest unique cocktail - "BenIQ" - a cheeky mash-up of fellow Manhunt Singapore finalists 23-year-old Koh Ben Kiong and 24 year old Rafiq Johar.

At first glance, it seems an unusual pairing, between the 1.65m 62kg introverted, soft-spoken younger Swarovski retail associate and the 1.8m 72kg outgoing, humorous, fresh-out-of-National-Service (NS) freelance model. But when you take a closer look, you realize that both share a common inner motivation that drives them to challenge themselves individually to break through their personal limits in their pursuit of greater peaks in the course of this competition journey.

Whether it's sculpting up or chiselling down, both Ben and Rafiq are sure to astonish and impress with the newly defined, nosebleed-inducing results of their hard work in the gym. Determined not to let their die-hard, loyal fans down, the two also plan to unveil bolder, charismatic and more confident personas, guaranteed to charm and leave everlasting memories in the hearts and minds of many, when they make their debut public appearance at the competition finals, certainly the first of many to come.
